Failed Payment Fixes & Survey Testing!

Hi everyone! We hope you've had a great weekend, we have a whole lot of exciting updates to share!
Firstly, thank you to everyone for resolving any card issues with their banks - we've had a few people reach out who have had a bit more trouble, particularly with international transactions, apologies!
To help fix this, we've organised a process (detailed below) to help get you back on track before Surveys are sent.
As always, for any issues your first port of call is our dedicated email address; [email protected] ! There is the potential for comments on the Backerkit page or messages within our Discord to become buried due to everyone's enthusiasm, whereas our inbox ensures that the team will get to your message!
Thanks for your patience as we've resolved this - in short, we can provide an invoice via Square (or Paypal as a contingency), and the process is as follows:
- Email us via [email protected] (To avoid scams, we won't reach out via any other email, and communication will only be via this email, or official means such as Backerkit themselves!)
- We'll reply back with a screenshot of your Pledge, from which you can confirm things all looks correct
- Invoice will be issued via parent LLC, after which we can manually adjust your Pledge to be 'Paid'! You'll also receive payment confirmation and an itemised receipt.
In good news, our Survey setup has been approved by Backerkit and we're almost ready to go live with it! This will take the form of an email sent to the same one used for your Backerkit account, and it will be an opportunity for several things:
- Upgrading your Pledge Level, to take advantage of the additional discounts at higher levels - especially if you originally pledged for $1 only
- Selecting any additional Add-Ons you may like (For example, the new Berg Plushie...)
- Choosing the variants / options associated with your selections (e.g. DnD vs SF2e, your size of shirt, etc.)
- Providing your shipping address and payment - this address can be changed later if you move!
As you can see in the above image, the initial step as part of this process is the 'Smoke Test'; where Surveys are sent to a random allotment of 5% of Backers, across all Pledge levels! If you're one of these individuals, great! If you have a particularly good or bad experience feel free to let us know via [email protected] and we can amend things before the full Survey is sent to everyone over the next 1-2 weeks.
It's important to complete the Survey as soon as practicable too please; as getting final numbers ASAP helps us begin production even sooner!
Pledge Over Time Backers: When the surveys are ready, you'll receive your link when the final instalment is paid, no worries! You can also pay the instalments earlier if desired.
Finally: this Survey is different to 'Preorders'!! If you see any updates from us regarding 'Preorders', it is directed at those who followed the campaign however did not back it originally - As a Backer, thank you for your original support, you're all set!
Work continues in the background, notably:
- General writing & character artwork
- Starship miniature sculpts in progress, expected completion in October
- Protogen Shuttle test printing in final assembly, expected completion in October
- Planning setups for Midwest Furfest & PAX Unplugged (Illinois & Philadelphia respectively, USA, December) - Booths at both conventions, more details to follow!
